How to design your kitchen space

Kitchens are often the heart of a home and they become a place in which family and friends gather together to catch up on the events of the day whilst preparing some wonderful food. When it comes to designing your kitchen space there are a number of things that you will need to consider.

Appliances – it is important to think about what appliances you want to have in your kitchen and where these are best located. If you are refurbishing an old kitchen you might want to try and keep your sink, washing machine and your Semi Integrated Dishwasher, like the ones from inĀ  a similar location to your old ones.

Storage – once you have chosen your appliances you will next need to think about what storage you need for your cutlery, crockery and your food items. This could be cupboards, shelving and drawers. The type of storage that you choose will depend on how big your kitchen is and how many items you need to store.

Flooring – the flooring that you choose will help to create the atmosphere in your kitchen and there are many different options including engineered wood flooring, laminate and vinyl. The one that you choose will depend on your budget and of course your personal preference.
